The most shabby stations on the red line's north branch will be part of $ 57,4 million face lift project starting this summer under a contract the CTA board approved Wednesday.Based on what CTA president Forrest Claypool said the worse stations are Jarvis, Morse, Granville, Thorndale, Berwyn, Argyle and lawrence. "The face lift will include water proofing, truck pointing, and installing new windows, doors ceilings and floors on the seven station houses; improving lighting, repairing platforms":outlined Mr Chris Bushell the CTA's chief of infrastructures officer.  Some stations will be closed for up to 40 days to accomodate the work. But officials said there is no final schedule now.CTA also approved a seperate agreement with Goldman Sachs and other financial advisers to help other project for modernisation of the Red line/Purple Line for all stations north.
